Just a quick entry to chronicle the day gone by… It’s interesting to look back and do an accounting of what it is that I did or didn’t do. I get the sense that I’m either on a good track or not – there’s never really much middle ground. We’ll see how this one turns out.Today was a remarkably slow day at work… I had the chance to do some work within the UAS Wiki system, which was useful, and periodically got to answer some calls. During a chunk of the day (maybe 45 minutes or so?) I spent some time listening to CommuniKate to catch up with things… There really wasn’t that much to catch up on in terms of content.
I sometimes feel that my progress is slow with my business, as compared with some of the other messages that come out over the voicemail system, but I find it interesting that amidst my “slowness”, the guys sending those other messages are not particularly growing by leaps and bounds. I long for that to be different on all fronts. What a life to be lived if everyone were living a 12 cylinder lifestyle… On step, on point, on purpose… On fire!
Lets see… this evening, I was able to do product pickup with Jason & Heather (as well as my own with Bill). Helped Heather with making dinner (a tasty Chicken Soup (with noodles that took over all of the broth)). We watched Kung Fu Panda while we ate. I liked the message of the movie: the secret is that there is no secret; it’s the thought that there is a secret that is the secret. Or, more simply, the secret is within! Now granted, this was scoped with regard to the Dragon Master dude, but I think it’s application is just as important in our lives today. Reach within… there is nothing we need that we don’t already have. So true for the building of my business.
After dinner & the movie, I dropped Heather off at work, coordinated the pickup of the Forrester on Thursday, and then went home with the theory of going to bed early (I’ve been sleeping a lot this weekend and last night…) It didn’t quite work out that way as it’s approaching 1:00am now, and I’m still typing away.
I was able to get a bit of data entry done with regards to my finances… I’d like to figure out what Christmas will look like for family & friends… Being as how it’s coming up soon, it’d be good to take a look at to make sure I’m getting the gifts from my business in time.
Things on the horizon for tomorrow? I’ve got a plan booked with Heather… Not sure if there will be guests, but it’s good practice for me to be mentally ready, and for Heather (and myself) to get some pressure. I am impressed by her efforts to get out and talk with folks (“are you looking”) and with time I know that she’ll have success. Also, in the evening, we’ve got Ultimate “Intramurals” which mostly works out to a evening of pick up. It’s fun on the indoor turf.
Well, did I grow my business today? Not much… Got some Kate in, did a little bit of pick up, listened to a Ruby Gems CD… and then thought about my day.
Tomorrow, I’ll be coordinating what Dreamnight I want to attend, and then maybe even placing an Ada Valley Foods order… I’d like to get a turkey here by Thanksgiving, to be eaten from my own business, but I’m not sure if that’ll occur. I might just get one anyhow though to share with Heather and my roommates.
Okay, Mr. Talkative. I think it’s time for bed. Perhaps I’ll go read some more from The Generosity Factor…
